1. General Information

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through the website of Made by Thornton / Thornton Trading Co. (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Our business operates from Germany and complies with applicable EU and German consumer protection laws.

2. Products

We design and produce wooden homeware, décor and personalised items, as well as curate selected goods from local artisans. Due to the nature of natural materials, variations in colour, grain and finish may occur and are not considered defects.

Product images are for illustrative purposes; slight differences may occur.

3. Prices & Payment

All prices are shown in the applicable currency and include VAT where required by law.
Payment must be made in full at the time of order using the payment methods available on our website.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are processed within the timeframe stated on the product page. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on destination and carrier.

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services once the item has been dispatched.

5. Right of Withdrawal & Returns Standard Items

You have the right to return standard (non-personalised) items within 14 days of delivery/receipt.

Returned items must:

• Be in like-new condition

• Be unused and undamaged

• Be returned in original packaging where possible

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or damaged on arrival.

Personalised & Custom Items

Personalised or custom-made items are excluded from returns, as they are made specifically to your specifications.

An exception applies only if a personalised or custom item is delivered damaged or faulty.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of:

• The item

• The damage

• The original packaging

We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Refunds

Refunds are processed after the returned item has been received and inspected. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.

6. Ownership & Risk

Ownership of goods passes to you once full payment has been received. Risk passes to you upon delivery.

7. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our products. Nothing in these terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to German jurisdiction.
