Funny Christmas Signs | Reclaimed Wood Décor

For those who like Christmas... just not quite enough to take it seriously. 🎄

Add a little sarcasm to the festive season with these handmade wooden Christmas signs from Made by Thornton.

Each sign combines cheeky Christmas humour with a genuinely rustic frame, handmade in my workshop from reclaimed wood offcuts left over from other projects. Instead of throwing perfectly usable timber away, the smaller pieces are given a second life as one-of-a-kind frames.

That means every sign is slightly different. Knots, grain patterns, saw marks and variations in the wood are all part of its character.

Handmade from Reclaimed Wood

Every frame is individually made using wood offcuts from other Made by Thornton projects.

Rather than hiding the natural character of the timber, I embrace it. Expect variations in grain, knots, markings and colour — no two frames will be exactly alike.

Choose from three finishes:

• Walnut – rich, darker rustic finish
• Oak – warm, natural wood tone
• Distressed Whitewash – weathered farmhouse-style finish

Sizes

Small: approx. 27 × 21 cm
Large: approx. 36.5 × 28.5 cm

As the frames are made from reclaimed offcuts, dimensions can vary slightly depending on the timber available.

Christmas Décor for People Who Don't Do Christmas Décor

These signs are designed for homes where Christmas doesn't necessarily mean covering every available surface in tinsel.

Display yours on a shelf, sideboard, mantel, kitchen counter, home bar or entryway. The rustic reclaimed-wood construction works particularly well with farmhouse, industrial, country and neutral Christmas interiors.
